I founded JPM Collective to help people bring clarity, structure, and peace of mind to the important parts of life that are too often left fragmented or delayed. My work is centered on guiding individuals, families, and business owners through planning decisions with a practical, thoughtful approach that considers both the legal and real-life side of every matter. I particularly enjoy working with clients who value organization, intentional decision-making, and trusted guidance during times of transition, growth, or change.
I am licensed to practice law in Illinois, Michigan, and New Mexico, and my career has focused on estate planning, trust and estate administration, business planning, contracts, and real estate matters. Prior to launching JPM Collective, I practiced with Williams & Kite, LLC, where I advised clients across a broad range of personal and business matters and developed the client-centered approach that continues to guide my work today. Clients rely on me for clear communication, sound judgment, attention to detail, and practical solutions tailored to their specific goals and circumstances.
Outside of work, I am an avid Chicago Cubs fan and proud season ticket holder. Much of my free time is happily spent with my dogs, Windy, Waveland, and Bernie Banks, or planning my next trip and exploring somewhere new. I value community, family, loyalty, integrity, and creating systems that make life run more smoothly. Those values shape how I approach every client relationship, with consistency, character, and a genuine commitment to the people who place their trust in me. I believe planning should not feel overwhelming or impersonal, it should feel empowering. That belief guides every engagement and is at the heart of the Joan Planning Method.
